Zema Global has acquired cQuant.io, a cloud-native analytics provider for energy and commodities firms, with the business operating as a wholly owned subsidiary branded "A Zema Global Company." The acquisition, supported by Zema Global's investor FTV Capital, names cQuant.io CEO David Leevan President of Zema Global and expands Zema's data-to-analytics capabilities for energy, commodities and financial customers.

As part of the transaction Andrea Remyn Stone was named CEO, founder Dr. Zak El‑Ramly moved to chairman, and several FTV representatives joined ZEMA's board; financial terms were not disclosed.

Morningstar Completes Acquisition of CRSP From the University of Chicago

Morningstar, Inc. completed its previously announced acquisition of the Center for Research in Security Prices (CRSP) from the University of Chicago for about $365 million. The deal brings CRSP’s Market Indexes (benchmarks for over $3 trillion in U.S. equities) and CRSP Research Data Products into the Morningstar Indexes family and rebrands the indexes under the Morningstar name.
