Superior USA Waste Acquires Harley Hollan Companies

Shawnee, Oklahoma-based Superior USA Waste (Superior Waste Industries) has acquired Harley Hollan Companies, a Tulsa-area solid waste management business that operates commercial collection, roll-off services, recycling and a transfer station. The transaction is an add-on to Superior's platform and was supported by equity and financing partners including Red Dog Equity LLC and Monroe Capital; Harley Hollan invested in Superior and will continue to manage the business.

Borgman Capital Acquires Harlo Corporation

Borgman Capital, a Milwaukee-based private investment firm, has acquired Harlo Corporation, an 88-year-old manufacturer of rough terrain forklifts headquartered in Grandville, Michigan. The transaction transfers ownership from the Crooks family to Borgman Capital; Harlo will continue to operate under its name with existing leadership and 54 employees, and will gain resources to expand capacity and product development.

Sonic Automotive Acquires Black Hills Harley-Davidson

Sonic Automotive, a Fortune 500 automotive retailer based in Charlotte, North Carolina, has acquired Black Hills Harley-Davidson, the leading Harley-Davidson dealership in Rapid City, South Dakota and host of the Rally at Exit 55. The acquisition expands Sonic's powersports portfolio and complements its strategy to grow its powersports segment and serve rally attendees and motorcycle enthusiasts.

Berlon Industries Acquires Lowe Manufacturing

Berlon Industries, a Hustisford, Wisconsin manufacturer of buckets and attachments, has agreed to acquire Lowe Manufacturing, a Viola, Wisconsin maker of auger, trenching and grapple attachments. The deal, which preserves the LOWE brand and retains employees and facilities, is expected to close in early January 2022; owner Richard Lowe will retire while Mary Lowe will remain with the business.

NCSG Crane & Heavy Haul Acquires H&H Crane Service

Canadian-based NCSG Crane & Heavy Haul Corp., through its U.S. subsidiary NCSG Crane & Heavy Haul Services, Inc., acquired Great Falls–based H&H Crane Service Inc. Founder Tom Harant has taken an ownership interest in NCSG and will continue to run the local business as NCSG expands its crane and heavy-haul capabilities in the Great Falls region.

BMH Equipment Acquires Frank H. Gill Company

BMH Equipment, LLC acquired Frank H. Gill Company of Lansing, Illinois from owners John and Tom Gill. Calder Capital advised BMH on the buy-side; the acquisition expands BMH's material-handling product offerings and geographic footprint (bringing BMH to five locations) and Frank H. Gill will operate under its existing name for a transition period. Terms were not disclosed.
