LightEdge, a GI Partners‑backed provider of secure cloud and colocation services, has agreed to acquire Connectria, a St. Louis‑based multi‑cloud infrastructure and managed hosting provider. The deal adds six data centers to LightEdge’s footprint, expands its public cloud hosting capabilities (IBM, AWS, Azure), and is expected to close before the end of April.

Thoma Bravo Acquires ConnectWise

Thoma Bravo, a leading private equity firm, has agreed to acquire ConnectWise, the Tampa-based provider of a SaaS business management platform for managed service providers (MSPs). The deal (expected to close Feb. 28, 2019) will see founder Arnie Bellini transition to an advisory role while current president and COO Jason Magee becomes CEO; terms were not disclosed and financing was provided by Owl Rock Capital.

ConnectWise Acquires Continuum and ITBoost

ConnectWise announced acquisitions of Continuum and ITBoost, adding Continuum’s AI-enabled RMM, managed security/NOC/SOC and ITBoost’s IT documentation capabilities to its business automation platform. The moves (alongside a partnership with Webinfinity) expand ConnectWise’s product suite for technology solution providers and strengthen managed services, security and documentation capabilities for MSP/TSP customers.

Warehouse Services Inc. Acquires Sky Transportation Services

Privately held 3PL Warehouse Services Inc. (WSI) has acquired El Paso-based Sky Trans Group Holdings, LLC (Sky Transportation Services), a regional truckload carrier focused on dry‑van and US–Mexico cross‑border freight. The deal is expected to add over $60 million in annual revenue to WSI and expand its cross‑border and Southwestern U.S. trucking capabilities, with Sky's CEO Albert Luna remaining in a leadership role.

Smartronix Acquires C2S Consulting Group

Smartronix, an OceanSound Partners company, has acquired C2S Consulting Group, a Herndon, Virginia-based cloud solutions provider. The acquisition adds more than 50 technical staff, expands Smartronix's cloud capabilities and client footprint into the U.S. Intelligence Community and Department of Homeland Security, and places C2SCG leaders into Smartronix leadership roles; financial terms were not disclosed.

Cumming Group Acquires World Wide Professional Solutions (WWPS)

Cumming Group has merged with World Wide Professional Solutions (WWPS), combining WWPS' ~230 professionals with Cumming's global project and cost-management capabilities to form the largest pure‑play service provider in the U.S. semiconductor construction market. The deal expands Cumming's expertise in semiconductor and advanced manufacturing facility program, project, construction, and equipment installation services and strengthens its position amid rising onshoring and capital investment in U.S. chip manufacturing.
