Bates Group, a U.S. financial services consulting firm, has acquired CorCom LLC, an AML/financial-crimes compliance consultancy based in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The acquisition brings CorCom’s certified AML team and capabilities into Bates to expand its AML, BSA/OFAC, licensing and training offerings for banks, fintechs, cryptocurrency firms and MSBs.

The Mather Group (TMG), a family- and employee-owned wealth management firm headquartered in Chicago, has acquired Knoxville-based Resource Advisory Services, a fiduciary-only RIA with $116 million in assets under management. The deal expands TMG’s footprint in the Southeast and increases its AUM, while Resource Advisory Services’ founder David Lewis joins/partners with TMG under its fiduciary, fee-only platform.

The entire RPG team will join Mercer, expanding Mercer's Southeast presence and providing succession/business continuity for RPG's founders and clients (RPG manages roughly $325 million AUM across 330+ clients).
