Kinetic–Globalvia Consortium to Acquire Go‑Ahead Group for $789M

A consortium of Australian bus operator Kinetic and Spanish infrastructure group Globalvia has agreed to acquire UK transport operator Go‑Ahead Group for $789 million (£647.7m). Go‑Ahead shareholders will receive 1,500 pence per share (1,450p cash plus a 50p special dividend); the buyers formed a new acquisition vehicle (Bidco) and expect the deal to close in October 2022, committing to invest in decarbonisation and digitalisation of Go‑Ahead's operations.
