Heffernan Insurance Brokers, a large independent insurance brokerage headquartered in Walnut Creek, California, has acquired Stitz & Associates, a Kirkwood, Missouri-based insurance agency focused on group employer health, individual health and Medicare. The Stitz team joined Heffernan's small business division, HeffDirect, to expand Heffernan's capabilities and presence in Missouri and the greater Midwest.
