Tarantula Corporation Acquires Texas Central Railroad

Tarantula Corporation, the railroad holding company that owns Fort Worth & Western Railroad, acquired the 26-mile Texas Central Railroad from Birdsong Corporation, with the purchase finalized on June 30. The acquisition gives Fort Worth & Western Railroad (FWWR) ownership rights enabling substantial investments in maintenance, infrastructure upgrades and development of rail-served sites to improve service capabilities for regional customers.
