Stran & Company Acquires Trend Brand Solutions

Stran & Company, Inc. signed an agreement to acquire the assets and business of Trend Brand Solutions, a Tomball, Texas–based promotional products and branded merchandise provider. The deal (asset purchase) will expand Stran's presence in the U.S. South—particularly the Houston market—and retains Trend's employees with Trend CEO Michael Krauser joining Stran as Regional Vice President for Texas.

Stran & Company, Inc. (NASDAQ: STRN) signed a definitive agreement to acquire GAP Promotions, LLC (GAP Promo) in an asset purchase expected to close in Q1 2022. GAP Promo, a Gloucester, Massachusetts-based full-service promotions agency that generated $7.4 million in sales in 2020, will be led post-close by founder Gayle Piraino and all current employees will be retained. The deal expands Stran's promotional products, point-of-sale/display capabilities and its reach within the beverage and consumer packaged goods end markets.

Stran & Company, through its newly formed subsidiary Stran Loyalty Solutions, acquired the assets and assumed certain liabilities of Bangarang Enterprises, LLC (d/b/a Gander Group) via a secured-party sale. Gander Group, headquartered in Irvine, California, generated over $34 million in revenue in 2023; its CEO Josh Blake and COO Bruce Batcheller will join Stran Loyalty Solutions as the acquisition expands Stran's casino continuity and loyalty capabilities and supports cross-selling into gaming and entertainment markets.

Grossman Marketing Group Acquires Cooley Group

Grossman Marketing Group, a fourth-generation, family-owned provider of branded merchandise and marketing services based in Woburn, Massachusetts, has acquired Cooley Group, a Rochester, New York-based promotional products, print and fulfillment provider. Cooley will continue to operate under its name as a division of Grossman with its offices and team remaining in place, expanding Grossman's regional footprint, capabilities (technology, e-commerce, logistics) and sustainability programs like SwagCycle.

Taylor Corporation Acquires DMR Creative Marketing

Taylor Corporation has agreed to acquire the assets of DMR Creative Marketing, a Deerfield Beach, Florida-based provider of branded apparel, souvenirs and uniform programs. The acquisition expands the capabilities and distribution channels of Taylor's Promotional Products business unit by adding DMR's design talent and in-house screen print and embroidery production.

TMS International Acquires Stein (Stein, LLC / Stein Steel Mill Services, LLC)

TMS International has acquired the business and assets of Stein, LLC and Stein Steel Mill Services, LLC, a family-owned provider of steel mill services headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio. The acquisition (approximately 500 employees) expands TMS's service capabilities and U.S. footprint, adding slag removal, scrap management, recycling, material handling and mill maintenance capabilities across seven states.
