Bassett Furniture Acquires Noa Home Inc.

Bassett Furniture Industries, Inc. acquired the capital stock of Noa Home Inc., a Montreal-based mid-priced e-commerce furniture retailer with operations in Canada, Australia, Singapore and the U.K. The purchase included approximately C$2.0 million in cash to the co-founders and C$5.7 million to repay debt; Bassett said the deal will expand its digital commerce capabilities and help attract digitally native consumers.

NBG Home Acquires Quoizel

NBG Home, the Austin-based home décor platform owned by Sycamore Partners, has acquired Quoizel, a decorative lighting designer and manufacturer based in Charleston, South Carolina. The deal keeps Quoizel's headquarters and leadership in place and is an add-on acquisition to NBG Home's platform to expand product, brand diversity and distribution.

H.I.G. Capital Affiliate Acquires Pegasus Home Fashions

H.I.G. Capital, through one of its affiliates, completed the acquisition of Pegasus Home Fashions, a leading U.S. poly-filled pillow manufacturer headquartered in Elizabeth, New Jersey. H.I.G. plans to support Pegasus's growth initiatives, including brand expansion, channel development and strategic add-on acquisitions while the existing management team remains in place.

Ashley Home (Ashley Global Retail) Acquires Resident Home (Nectar, DreamCloud)

The Resident co-founders Eric Hutchinson and Ran Reske will remain in their roles; the deal is intended to expand Ashley's presence in the mattress sector and broaden Resident's home furnishings assortment and global footprint.

Hydrofarm Acquires House & Garden

Hydrofarm Holdings Group, Inc. agreed to acquire House & Garden, Inc. and affiliated entities for approximately $125 million, funded with existing cash, with the acquired businesses becoming wholly owned indirect subsidiaries. The acquisition expands Hydrofarm's branded nutrients portfolio (including the House & Garden and Mad Farmer brands), with House & Garden expected to generate about $55 million in 2021 net sales and the deal valuing the business at under 7x estimated 2021 adjusted EBITDA.
