Electrical Services Acquisitions in Ohio

Convergint has acquired Digital Visions, a Cincinnati-based electronic security design and installation firm, to expand its security business across Ohio and the Midwest. The deal strengthens Convergint's capabilities in access control, video management and intrusion detection and bolsters its presence in the logistics, state and local government, and K-12 education markets.

Oak Electric, a ShoreView Industries portfolio company, has acquired Great Lakes Electric (headquartered in Milan, Ohio) in an add-on transaction. Northstar Capital provided junior debt and an equity co-investment to help ShoreView finance the add-on, which expands Oak Electric's geography and service offerings; terms were not disclosed.

ABB has agreed to acquire SEAM Group, a provider of energized asset management and advisory services, to broaden its Electrification Service offering. The deal — expected to close in Q3 2024 subject to regulatory approvals — will extend ABB’s low- and medium-voltage services and field service coverage across North America; financial terms were not disclosed.

Hastings Equity Partners has made a growth investment in JSET Automated Technologies, a Columbus, Ohio–based building automation and electronic engineering services provider focused on data centers. Hastings will support JSET's geographic expansion, labor growth, capability buildout, and pursue add-on acquisitions to scale the business across North America.
