Food & Beverage Acquisitions in Idaho

San Antonio-headquartered C.H. Guenther & Son (CHG), a Pritzker Private Capital-backed food manufacturer, has acquired Fresca Mexican Foods, a Caldwell, Idaho-based producer of flour and corn tortillas and tortilla chips. The acquisition expands CHG's tortilla manufacturing capacity, adds Fresca's 190,000 sq. ft. facility and ~375 employees, and deepens CHG's relationships with QSR, foodservice and private-label customers.

Post Holdings, Inc. has completed its acquisition of Potato Products of Idaho, L.L.C., effective March 3, 2025. The purchase expands Post’s refrigerated and potato product capabilities for retail and foodservice channels; financial terms were not disclosed.

Western Smokehouse Partners, a portfolio company of AUA Private Equity, acquired substantially all of the assets of Golden Valley Natural, LLC (dba Hero Snacks) to expand its better-for-you meat snack platform. The deal brings Golden Valley’s organic and all-natural jerky capabilities and Shelley, Idaho manufacturing capacity into the Western Smokehouse platform as an add-on to support growth and broaden product offerings.

Disruptive Technologies, LLC — a Nevada-based food-production technology company — has acquired the assets of Good Superfoods, LLC, a GFSI-certified contract manufacturer of nutrition bars, chocolate snacks and protein bars located just outside Boise, Idaho. The deal gives Disruptive Technologies a state-of-the-art facility to deploy its Clean Manufacturing Technology and expand its manufacturing footprint and private-label/contract manufacturing capabilities.

Riverence Holdings LLC announced the acquisition of Clear Springs Foods, Inc., creating the largest land-based producer of trout in the Americas. The deal expands Riverence’s vertically integrated “egg-to-plate” supply chain, increasing production, processing and distribution capacity while retaining brands and team members in Idaho’s Magic Valley.

Shamrock Foods Company is acquiring the Boise, Idaho operations of Food Services of America (FSA) in a transaction required as part of regulatory approval for US Foods’ acquisition of SGA Food Group. The purchase expands Shamrock Foods’ geographic footprint in the western United States and aims to maintain customer service continuity for local restaurant, healthcare and institutional customers.
