HVAC & Mechanical Acquisitions in Delaware

Sila Services, a PE-backed home services platform, has acquired Burns & McBride Home Comfort, a New Castle, Delaware-based residential HVAC and home comfort services provider. The deal expands Sila Services' Mid-Atlantic footprint and brings Burns & McBride's multi-generational customer base and service capabilities into Sila's platform.

Heartland Home Services has acquired Custom Mechanical, a family-owned residential HVAC and plumbing services provider in Delaware and Maryland. The deal marks Heartland's first expansion onto the East Coast and will keep Custom's management team in place as the brand joins Heartland's portfolio.

Strikepoint Group Holdings (formerly Horizon Group Holdings) has acquired First Class HVAC, a Millsboro, Delaware-based heating, cooling and plumbing contractor. The deal is the fifth addition to Strikepoint’s home‑services portfolio in 2021 and expands its footprint and service capabilities on the Delaware/Maryland eastern shore.

New Mountain Capital has acquired Horizon Group Holdings, LLC (Horizon Services) from an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners. Horizon, a Newark, Delaware-based residential provider of heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical services with a ~1,400-employee team, will remain managed by founder Dave Geiger and management, and will use New Mountain's capital and resources to accelerate organic and acquisition-led growth.

Comfort Systems USA, Inc. acquired Delcard Associates, Inc., a full-service commercial HVAC contractor based in Wilmington, Delaware. Delcard reported approximately $45 million in 2007 revenue and the acquisition was intended to strengthen Comfort Systems' presence and service capabilities in Delaware and the surrounding region.
