Bottle Rocket and DTI Digital announced a merger effective January 1, 2025 to combine their experience and enterprise digital transformation capabilities. The companies will continue operating under their existing brands, with the joint entity operating in the United States under the Bottle Rocket name while DTI Digital continues operations in Brazil.

Afya Limited completed the acquisition, via its wholly-owned subsidiary Afya Participações S.A., of 100% of Faculdade Masterclass Ltda., operator of FACULDADE ÚNICA DE CONTAGEM (FUNIC) in Contagem, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The transaction adds 60 pre-operational medical school seats, with an aggregate purchase price of R$100 million (subject to net debt adjustments) and potential contingent consideration tied to regulatory approval of up to 60 additional seats.

netLex, a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software platform, announced the closing of a $24 million growth funding round led by Riverwood Capital. The company plans to use the investment to accelerate product development and innovation, with a focus on artificial intelligence, and to expand further outside Brazil.

Advent International announced a strategic investment in Skala Cosméticos, a leading Brazilian vegan haircare brand headquartered in Uberaba, Minas Gerais. The investment (via Advent’s Latin America-focused LAPEF VII funds, conducted through Odara Participações) is intended to support Skala’s expansion of manufacturing capacity, distribution, and international growth.

Crenlo Engineered Cabs, a portfolio company of Angeles Equity Partners, sold Taxi Brazil Holdings, B.V., which holds its Brazilian division Crenlo do Brasil, to an affiliate of JOST Werke SE. The divestiture allows Crenlo to focus resources on its North American off-highway vehicle OEM manufacturing operations. Crenlo do Brasil is headquartered in Guaranésia, Minas Gerais and manufactures engineered operator cabs and attachment fabrications for off-highway vehicle markets.
