Acquisitions in Lisbon, Portugal

PSG Equity has made a strategic growth equity investment in Emotion Mobility to accelerate product development, international expansion, and pursue strategic M&A. Emotion Mobility, a Lisbon-headquartered global SaaS mobility software provider (products Rentway and Carpro), serves customers across more than 90 countries including Avis, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz, Sixt and Volkswagen.

Banyan Software has acquired Host Hotel Systems, a Lisbon-based provider of hotel property and operations management software. The deal marks Banyan's first investment in Portugal and expands its European enterprise software portfolio, giving Host access to Banyan's permanent-capital operating model to pursue growth opportunities.

TransPerfect has acquired Unbabel, a language AI leader, integrating Unbabel's TowerLLM and COMET technologies into its GlobalLink technology stack. Financial terms were not disclosed; Unbabel CEO Vasco Pedro will remain to oversee integration as TransPerfect expands its AI-driven language and localization capabilities.

Amadeus has agreed to acquire Vision-Box, a Portugal-based provider of biometric hardware and software for travel, border control and ID management, from Keensight Capital for an enterprise value of approximately €320 million. The deal brings biometrics hardware and end-to-end traveler orchestration software capabilities into Amadeus’s portfolio, allowing the company to extend its offering from booking through border control and boarding.

Linedata has acquired Audaxys, a Portugal-based specialist in lending and leasing application software, to accelerate the development of its Lending & Leasing activities in Southern Europe. The deal strengthens Linedata’s regional presence and establishes a center of excellence in Portugal for its credit business, expanding product and service offerings to local and international clients.

ValGenesis, the enterprise Validation Lifecycle Management System (VLMS) provider, acquired Portugal-based 4Tune Engineering (4TE) to integrate 4TE's iRISK and iSEE platforms into its Validation 4.0 roadmap. The deal, completed June 6, 2022, expands ValGenesis' product capabilities across risk management and continuous process verification and strengthens its presence in Europe and LATAM.

Ascent, a UK-based digital services business backed by Horizon Capital, has acquired Lisbon-based data engineering and BI consultancy BiLD Analytics. The acquisition strengthens Ascent's data engineering, cloud and analytics capabilities and expands its nearshore talent hub in Portugal.
