Infrastructure Acquisitions in Georgia

RadiusDC has acquired the carrier-hotel facility at 55 Marietta Street NW in downtown Atlanta and will invest to add 8MW of utility capacity, increasing the site's total to 18MW. The 403,000 sq ft, 21-story facility—home to 22 on-net carriers—was purchased from a European family office; RadiusDC said the deal expands its national footprint and supplies critical, connectivity-dense capacity for hyperscalers, content providers and enterprises.

AllClear Underground Solutions, a portfolio company of Crescentia Capital, has acquired Metals & Materials Engineers, LLC (MME), a Stone Mountain, Georgia-based provider of sewer and stormwater inspection, cleaning and repair services. The add-on expands AllClear's geographic footprint into north Georgia and broadens its underground water and wastewater service capabilities and customer base.

Osmose Utilities Services, a portfolio company of EQT Infrastructure, acquired the principal assets of McLean Engineering Company to add T&D electrical engineering and pole-attachment/joint-use consulting capabilities. The deal expands Osmose's end-to-end joint-use and pole-attachment services for electric utilities and telecommunications providers; McLean's CEO Sean Knowles and COO Todd Taylor will continue to lead the business unit within Osmose.

Inframark LLC has merged with ESG Operations, Inc., combining Inframark’s national infrastructure management capabilities with ESG’s regional water, wastewater and public works operations to form Inframark-ESG. The transaction creates a larger full-service infrastructure O&M and management platform focused on water and wastewater systems across the United States.

Volkert, a national engineering and consulting firm, has acquired Kennedy Engineering & Associates Group, LLC (KEA Group), a Atlanta-based transportation engineering firm that provides planning, design, environmental, CEI services and CHAMP dispatch support. The acquisition expands Volkert’s presence in Georgia and Florida and adds KEA’s specialized services and client relationships with federal, state and municipal agencies.

Ridgemont Equity Partners completed an acquisition of Sparus Holdings, a provider of outsourced field and professional services for utility and industrial customers, in March 2021. Ridgemont's investment will support the build-out of a scaled, end-to-end utility services platform and Sparus has since acquired OneVision Utility Services to expand its utility locate and damage prevention capabilities.

EQT Infrastructure has acquired Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. from Kohlberg Investors VII (managed by Kohlberg & Company). Osmose, headquartered in Peachtree City, Georgia, is a leading provider of inspection, maintenance and restoration services for utility and telecom infrastructure; EQT will support growth, expand services, and enhance data analytics under the existing Osmose management team.
