Logistics & Distribution Acquisitions in Alabama

Shepherdsville, Kentucky-based Haney and White Enterprise has acquired Oxford, Alabama-based B.R. Williams Trucking and B.R. Williams LTL Logistics and combined them with its Haney and White Logistics and Running Ox Logistics businesses to form BRW. The combined company will operate across Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Kentucky with over 300 employees, roughly 175 tractors, more than 700 trailers, five warehouses, and immediate annual revenues approaching $100 million, with a target of $250 million by 2030.

PS Logistics, a privately held transportation and logistics company based in Birmingham, Alabama, has acquired Buddy Moore Trucking, a family-owned Birmingham-based trucking firm. The deal adds BMT's ~130-truck flatbed division, ~120-truck dedicated van division, and non-asset logistics capabilities to PS Logistics' network, expanding flatbed and dedicated dry-van capacity and diversifying modal and service offerings in the Southeastern United States.

Carousel Capital has recapitalized McCorquodale Transfer, LLC (MTI), partnering with founder Bart McCorquodale and management to provide growth capital and support the company's buy-and-build strategy. MTI, a Birmingham-based residential services and white-glove relocation platform with seven branches across the Southeast, will use the partnership to expand organically and via strategic acquisitions.

Imperial Dade, a leading North American distributor of foodservice packaging and janitorial supplies, has acquired Mobile Janitorial & Paper, a family-owned janitorial and foodservice-disposables distributor based in Mobile, Alabama. Financial terms were not disclosed; the deal expands Imperial Dade's footprint and product/service offerings in Alabama while retaining Mobile Janitorial & Paper's local team and leadership.

One Equity Partners announced it has exited its investment in PS Logistics, the U.S. flatbed transportation and full-service logistics provider headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. The company was acquired by Gamut Capital Management and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) (financial terms not disclosed) after OEP helped scale PS Logistics through 14 add-on acquisitions and strong organic growth.
