Retail Acquisitions in Arkansas

Dark Horse Cannabis has acquired Green Light Dispensary in West Helena (Helena), Arkansas and will rebrand the store as Speakeasy by Dark Horse while relocating the permanent site to Brinkley, Arkansas. The acquisition expands Dark Horse’s retail footprint in Arkansas and aims to improve customer access and create local jobs.

Camping World Holdings, Inc. announced it will acquire multi-location RV dealer Crain RV, which operates locations in Benton, Springdale and Little Rock, Arkansas. The acquisition—expected to close in Q4 2023—will expand Camping World’s footprint in Arkansas and convert the locations into manufacturer-exclusive dealerships after property and facility improvements.

Camping World Holdings, Inc. (Camping World) will acquire Breeden RV Center in Van Buren, Arkansas, with the transaction expected to close in Q2 2023. The deal expands Camping World's footprint in Arkansas—bringing its total Arkansas locations to four—and grows its presence into the Fort Smith market.

Alimentation Couche‑Tard Inc. (Circle K) entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 45 fuel and convenience retail sites from Arkansas‑based Big Red Stores, a chain founded in 1997 by Doug and David Hendrix. The deal (expected to close in H1 2023, subject to approvals) significantly expands Couche‑Tard’s Arkansas footprint and will be financed with available cash and/or existing credit facilities.

The Cigarette Store LLC (dba Smoker Friendly) has acquired Tobacco Superstores, a Forrest City, Arkansas-based chain of 79 stores across Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Missouri and Kentucky. The stores will be rebranded as Smoker Friendly, expanding TCS's corporate footprint to 260 stores in 12 states and introducing TCS product lines to former Tobacco Superstores customers.

Franchise Group, Inc. has completed its acquisition of FFO Home, a regional furniture and mattress retailer. More than 30 FFO Home stores across the Midwest will be rebranded as American Freight Furniture, Mattress, Appliance, with customers redirected to the American Freight website and the addition of appliances, financing options and same-day delivery for in-stock items.
