Retail Acquisitions in Indiana

EagleStores, the retail operating arm of fuel distributor R&R Takhar Oil Co., acquired a gasoline/convenience-store site at 1100 W. Broadway St. in Princeton, Indiana from Ports Petroleum (also known as Fuel Mart). The buyer plans to raze and rebuild the site, brand it under a major fuel name, and continue expanding across the Midwest through acquisitions, new builds and dealer partnerships.

Reeder Trausch Marine Inc., a Rockville, Indiana-based boat dealership, has acquired Denny's Marina, Inc., an Indianapolis/Peru, Indiana family-owned boat dealership founded in 1972. Skyway Capital Markets advised the Decker family on the sale; Denny's Marina will be renamed Reeder Trausch Marine Indy following the transaction.

Hy-Vee, Inc. announced it will acquire Strack & Van Til (Indiana Grocery Group, LLC), adding 22 stores across Northwest Indiana. Strack & Van Til will operate as a subsidiary and its approximately 2,800 employees will join Hy-Vee as the transaction closes, supporting Hy-Vee's expansion into Indiana and the Southeast region.

Slam, the basketball magazine and lifestyle brand, has acquired college basketball apparel company 19nine and will merge the two merchandise teams. The deal (in which Slam’s parent JDS Sports previously held a stake) gives Slam control of 19nine’s college licensing (80+ schools) and supports expansion into a new Indiana facility to broaden Slam’s merchandise and lifestyle offerings.

Camping World Holdings, Inc. announced it will acquire Edmundson RV in Edinburgh, Indiana, a location that operates 34 service bays and will span nearly 18 acres at closing. The deal — expected to close in Q1 2024 — will be Camping World's first exclusive Forest River location in Indiana and will increase the company's Indiana location count to four.

Municipal Emergency Services (MES), a portfolio company of Platte River Equity, acquired U.S. Uniform & Supply, Inc., a regional provider of uniforms, equipment and supplies for emergency service personnel. The transaction, which closed June 16, 2023, is an add-on to MES’s platform to expand its product and service footprint in the Indianapolis market and integrate key personnel from U.S. Uniform & Supply.
