Software Acquisitions in Hawaii

Amsterdam-based Solid Sands B.V. has acquired the technology and test suites of Plum Hall Inc., a long-standing supplier of C/C++ compiler test suites. The acquisition expands Solid Sands' product portfolio and market share in compiler and library validation while ensuring continued support and development of the Plum Hall suites for customers and compiler developers.

Zazzle, the Menlo Park-based custom-products marketplace, has acquired Hobnob, a mobile-first event planning app, and will integrate Hobnob's invitation, RSVP and guest-management features into Zazzle Events. Hobnob founder Tina Fitch will join Zazzle as VP & GM of Zazzle Events to help deliver an end-to-end event planning and custom-products experience.

Majesco has acquired the Decision Research Corporation (DRC) insurance software business, adding DRC's enterprise rating engine, reinsurance solution, and P&C core platform to Majesco's product portfolio. The acquisition brings over 20 P&C customers into Majesco's community and expands its capabilities for MGAs, MGUs and smaller insurers to accelerate speed to market and product innovation.

Anaqua, a provider of intellectual property management software, has acquired Quantify IP, a developer of global IP cost-estimating software, to integrate advanced cost budgeting and forecasting tools into its IP management platform. The acquisition expands Anaqua's product capabilities by adding Quantify IP's Global IP Estimator and Portfolio Estimator for law firms and corporate IP teams.
