Software Acquisitions in South Carolina

Vitu has acquired Decision Dynamics, LLC (d/b/a DDI Technology) from IAA Holdings, LLC. The deal, terms undisclosed, expands Vitu's vehicle title and registration capabilities and accelerates its ability to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions to lenders, dealers, remarketers and government partners nationwide.

Titan Cloud, a fuel asset optimization software provider, has acquired TRUEFILL, a Charleston-based fuel supply management and logistics platform. The acquisition will integrate TRUEFILL's forecasting, dispatching, route optimization, pricing, and back-office automation into Titan Cloud's platform to provide end-to-end visibility and cost savings across the fuel supply chain.

Valsoft Corporation has acquired Vigilix, a Greenville, South Carolina–based provider of remote monitoring and management (RMM) software for point-of-sale (POS) environments. The acquisition expands Valsoft’s portfolio of POS and retail software solutions and aims to accelerate Vigilix’s product development and geographic reach in the U.S. and internationally.

Bestpass, a toll-management and payments platform for commercial fleets, acquired ExpressTruckTax, the leading Heavy Vehicle Use Tax (HVUT) e-filing platform, from SPAN Enterprises. The acquisition adds Form 2290 e‑filing and payments capability to Bestpass’s fleet payments offering and expands its compliance services for owner-operators and fleets.

Versaterm Public Safety, a Banneker Partners portfolio company, has acquired FivePoint Solutions, a Lexington, South Carolina-based provider of data integration and case management software for courts and public safety agencies. The acquisition adds FivePoint's FocalPoint, StreetSmart and CaseWorX products to Versaterm's CAD and RMS ecosystem to improve interoperability, data exchange and situational awareness for law enforcement and judicial customers.

Springbrook Software, a cloud-based ERP provider for local governments, has acquired PUBLIQ Software of South Carolina to add advanced property tax management capabilities to its Cirrus platform. The acquisition expands Springbrook's product functionality and national footprint, with the combined companies serving nearly 2,000 local government entities across multiple countries; PUBLIQ was sold by its parent, RedSail Technologies.

Aurora Capital Partners has acquired Grace Hill from investment funds managed by Stone Point Capital. Grace Hill is a provider of talent performance and customer experience software solutions for multifamily and commercial real estate; Aurora plans to accelerate growth, expand product capabilities and strengthen the company’s property performance and customer management solutions.

Francisco Partners has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Smith Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of J M Smith Corporation; the company will be rebranded as RedSail Technologies. Terms were not disclosed; Francisco Partners says the investment will provide capital to accelerate growth, expand market share and geographic footprint as an independent business. Kraig McEwen will join as CEO and the company will continue to operate its QS/1, Integra and PUBLIQ product families from its Spartanburg, South Carolina headquarters.
