Starfish Partners has acquired Huey Enterprises, Inc. (HEI), a boutique executive search firm led by Scott Huey. Following the acquisition, Scott Huey will join Kaye/Bassman International Corp (a Starfish Partners company) as Managing Partner to expand KBIC’s construction and commercial real estate recruiting practice across the U.S. Midwest.

Vangst, the cannabis industry hiring platform, acquired Se7en Staffing & Employment Solutions, a Kansas City–based cannabis staffing agency founded in 2019. The deal brings Se7en's founder Christy Essex into Vangst's leadership team and strengthens Vangst's regional footprint and staffing capabilities as it scales nationally.

Envision, LLC, a St. Louis–based national staffing and recruiting firm, was sold to a private investor in a transaction that closed January 13, 2025. The seller/founder Steve Lowy worked with Generational Group on the deal; Envision provides contract and direct-hire staffing across IT, engineering, marketing, finance, accounting and HR and also operates a specialized AI practice.

Consulting Solutions, a portfolio company of White Wolf Capital, has acquired iBridge Solutions, an IT staffing and consulting firm headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. iBridge will operate as a standalone division of Consulting Solutions to strengthen the buyer's workforce solutions and technology consulting presence in the St. Louis market.

G&A Partners has acquired Employer Advantage, a Joplin, Missouri-based provider of human resource services. The acquisition adds more than 500 client companies, roughly 11,000 worksite employees and 78 corporate employees to G&A's platform, expands its Midwest footprint, and will retain Employer Advantage's leadership with Jared Young joining G&A as Chief Mergers and Acquisitions Officer during the transition.

ettain group, a Charlotte-based talent solutions company and portfolio company of Alvarez & Marsal Capital, has acquired Bradford & Galt, an IT staffing and consulting firm headquartered in St. Louis. Bradford & Galt provides project staffing, consulting and EMR go‑live support with branch offices in Kansas City, Louisville and Nashville; the deal expands ettain's IT and healthcare staffing capabilities and geographic footprint.

Diversified Search, a ShoreView portfolio company, has acquired Grant Cooper and Associates, a St. Louis–based retained executive search firm specializing in healthcare. The deal expands Diversified Search's capabilities in academic healthcare and represents an add-on acquisition to the ShoreView-backed platform.
