Acquisitions in Ohio in 2017

Booz Allen Hamilton has entered into an agreement to acquire Morphick, Inc., a Cincinnati-area provider of adaptive managed detection and response (MDR) technology and services. The acquisition — expected to close in the third quarter of FY2018 — expands Booz Allen's managed security portfolio and strengthens its detection and response capabilities for commercial clients.

CenterGate Capital (through an affiliate) acquired TSC Apparel, a national B2B distributor of imprintable activewear and accessories headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. Financial terms were not disclosed; CenterGate said the investment will support the company’s next phase of growth and expand its service to suppliers and customers through its national distribution footprint.

ETAK Systems, a Charlotte-based portfolio company of Mosaic Capital Partners, has acquired an Ohio-based provider of wireless tower construction and site-acquisition engineering services. The add-on expands ETAK's geographic coverage into the Ohio Valley, adds tower crews and site management capabilities, and allows ETAK to integrate drone mapping and 3D modeling into the target's site-acquisition work.

Rosewood Private Investments, the private investment arm of The Rosewood Corporation, recapitalized Superior Environmental Solutions (SES). SES founders Dean Wallace and Chester Yeager retained a significant ownership stake and will continue to lead the company; terms were not disclosed.

Juggernaut Capital Partners has acquired Crystal, the natural mineral salt deodorant brand, from French Transit, Limited. Headwaters MB advised French Transit on the sale; financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition expands Juggernaut's consumer products portfolio in the natural personal care category.

Graycliff Partners has acquired Oberfields Holdings, LLC, a regional manufacturer and distributor of concrete hardscape and masonry products, from The Anderson Group. Terms were not disclosed; Graycliff intends to partner with Oberfields' management to pursue growth and expand the company's product offering and distribution footprint.

Nanogate AG has completed the acquisition of approximately 80% of US-based Jay Plastics, creating Nanogate Jay Systems LLC. The deal gives Nanogate production capacity and market access in North America, strengthens its surface metalization and PVD technology portfolio, and is expected to boost the Group's sales and earnings.
