Acquisitions in Pennsylvania in 2015

Control Devices, LLC acquired specific operating assets of Flexi-Hinge Valve Company, Inc., an asset purchase that serves as Control Devices' seventh add-on. The deal expands Control Devices’ flow-control product line by adding Flexi-Hinge’s check valve technology used across municipal and industrial applications, while preserving product and customer continuity.

AP Emissions Technologies, LLC has acquired Eastern Catalytic (Eastern Manufacturing, Inc.), a Langhorne, Pennsylvania-based manufacturer of catalytic converters and emission components. The acquisition brings together complementary product portfolios and manufacturing capabilities — Eastern operates a 115,000 ft² manufacturing facility and a 102,000 ft² distribution center with about 125 employees — and Angle Advisors served as Eastern's exclusive advisor.

La Crosse-based packaging and label manufacturer Inland has acquired Monet Graphics, a flexographic printer of primary labels and coupons located in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. Monet operates a 30,000 sq. ft. facility with about 23 employees; Inland says the plant will be added to its existing facilities to maintain and grow Monet’s business and expand Inland’s footprint and capabilities.

Sharps Compliance Corp., a Houston-based medical, pharmaceutical and hazardous waste disposal company, has acquired Alpha Bio/Medical Services, a pickup service headquartered in Pennsylvania that also operates in Maryland and Ohio. Sharps said the acquisition broadens its East Coast route-based footprint and coincides with the launch of a new truck-pickup service in major Texas cities.

Hub International Limited has acquired Pittsburgh-based The HDH Group, Inc. HDH will form a new Hub regional operation to serve as a platform for expansion into Western Pennsylvania and Ohio; HDH leadership will join Hub and the firm will expand Hub's employee benefits and risk services offerings.

TKO Electronics has acquired Market Point, combining their inventories and vendor relationships to provide a broader selection of IT and printer-related products through a unified web portal. The deal expands TKO's capabilities and adds a new West Coast facility to better serve Market Point’s customers.
