Trucking & Fleet Acquisitions in Wisconsin

Heniff Transportation Systems has acquired Janesville, Wisconsin–based Hagen Johnson Group, adding Hagen Johnson’s food-grade tank truck fleet, kosher tank-cleaning operation, and liquid freight brokerage to Heniff’s corresponding divisions. Terms were not disclosed; the deal excludes Reedsburg-based Korth Transfer. Heniff said the acquisition will support continued growth, technology investment and improved services for customers.

Kriete Truck Centers, a Milwaukee-based truck dealer group, has acquired La Crosse Truck Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The acquisition expands Kriete's ability to sell and service Mack and Isuzu trucks in the La Crosse and Mauston areas and will coincide with a major renovation of Kriete's existing La Crosse location.

Premier Truck Group, a Penske Automotive Group company, acquired River States Truck and Trailer, Inc., a La Crosse, Wisconsin-based commercial truck dealership and repair business. The deal adds five facilities across western Wisconsin and eastern Minnesota, expands Premier's footprint into new markets, and is expected to contribute roughly $200 million of estimated annualized revenue.

RELAM, a Cleveland-area lessor of railway maintenance-of-way equipment, has acquired Wiskerchen Truck & Equipment, LLC and Wiskerchen Rental & Leasing, LLC, a Spencer, Wisconsin company that sells, services, rents and leases Hi-Rail trucks and related equipment. The acquisition strengthens RELAM's Hi-Rail product capability and expands its rental and service footprint across RELAM's existing facilities and the North American Hi-Rail market.

Schneider has acquired Wisconsin-based regional carrier deBoer Transportation and will integrate its drivers and equipment to bolster Schneider’s Dedicated and Power Only operations. As part of the deal Schneider assumed ownership of roughly 160 tractors and 660 trailers; deBoer’s Blenker facility and a Dallas-area maintenance shop were excluded from the sale.
