Supporting Data
Cooper Consumer Health has completed the acquisition of the Over-the-Counter (OTC) business of Viatris Inc., following regulatory approvals and worker council consultations. The deal brings more than 200 brands (including Betadine, Saugella, Armolipid and CB12), two manufacturing sites in Mérignac (France) and Confienza (Italy) and an R&D centre in Monza (Italy) into Cooper's platform, doubling Cooper's revenues to approximately €1.2bn.
Cooper Consumer Health appointed Bart Meermans as CEO and agreed to acquire French nutraceutical company Lashilé Beauty, a market leader in gummy dietary supplements in France. The deal is a bolt-on to Cooper's platform (which is PE-backed by investors including CVC, Avista Capital Partners and Charterhouse) and the Lashilé founders will become shareholders in Cooper to support international roll-out and digital growth.
Charterhouse-backed Cooper-Vemedia has acquired a portfolio of 12 over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical brands from Sanofi for €158 million. The brands—spanning dermatology, well-being, eye care and other categories—are predominantly sold in France and Italy and will be integrated into Cooper-Vemedia’s pan‑European OTC platform to strengthen its product offering and market position.
