Jabil announced that Rebound Electronics has become part of the Jabil family of companies. The acquisition is intended to expand Jabil’s ability to offer a “Strategic Distribution Partner” model for electronics sourcing by combining Rebound’s distribution capabilities with Jabil’s global manufacturing and supply chain platform.
Jabil has acquired Pharmaceutics International (Pii), a Hunt Valley, Maryland-based contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) that provides aseptic filling, lyophilization and oral solid dose manufacturing. The all-cash transaction represents an exit for a consortium led by Signet Healthcare Partners, Athyrium Capital Management, Hildred Capital and Pharmascience Inc., and brings Pii’s ~300+ employees and four-site campus into Jabil’s Pharmaceutical Solutions offering to expand its drug development and manufacturing capabilities.
Jabil Inc. completed the acquisition of Mikros Technologies LLC on October 1 to add microchannel liquid cooling and thermal-management engineering and manufacturing capabilities. The deal expands Jabil’s portfolio for AI data centers, semiconductor test equipment, energy storage and electric-vehicle applications by integrating Mikros’s proprietary liquid-cold-plate technologies.
Jabil Inc. has acquired Retronix, a specialist in electronic component reclamation, laser reballing, retinning and authenticity testing, to expand Jabil’s circular-economy and component-refurbishment capabilities. The acquisition brings Retronix’s reclamation and refurbishment technologies into Jabil’s global manufacturing and reverse-supply-chain offerings to reduce electronic waste and support customers across telecom, defense, automotive and healthcare end markets.
Jabil Inc. has acquired ProcureAbility, a provider of procurement advisory, managed services, digital solutions, and staffing. The acquisition will allow Jabil to integrate ProcureAbility’s procurement capabilities with Jabil’s global supply chain and manufacturing expertise to expand procurement services for enterprise clients.
