Standard Solar announced the acquisition of two New York community solar projects from EDF power solutions North America, totaling approximately 8 MW: Water Chestnut (3.9 MW) and Hanoverian (4 MW). The projects received NYSERDA awards and are expected to complete in early 2027, expanding Standard Solar’s distributed solar footprint in one of the country’s most active community solar markets.
Pluma Construction, with support from ForeFront Power, developed an eight-project, 48.4 MW community solar portfolio in New Mexico under the state Community Solar Program. Standard Solar acquired the portfolio and will serve as the long-term owner and operator, with Solstice leading subscriptions and customer acquisition.
Standard Solar acquired a six-project, 28.8 MW community solar portfolio in New Jersey and Illinois from AC Power. The projects are sited on closed landfills and brownfield parcels and are expected to transition previously disturbed sites into long-term community energy assets.
Standard Solar has acquired the 3.2 MW Churchill Street Solar Farm in Pittsfield, Massachusetts from developer Sunfarm Solar, expanding its operating solar portfolio in the state. The ground-mounted, five-array project will be added to Standard Solar's owned assets as the company continues to grow its presence in the Massachusetts renewable energy market.
Standard Solar acquired the 12.18 MW Wheeler Gulch Solar Project from Caerus Piceance, LLC. The ground-mounted, behind-the-meter solar array in Garfield County, Colorado will supply on-site power to Caerus Piceance's Middle Fork compressor station and expand Standard Solar's owned renewable generation portfolio.
Standard Solar has acquired the 4.98-megawatt Bent Bow Community Solar project in Doña Ana County, New Mexico from developer Energy Management, Inc. The ground-mount project, developed by EMI beginning in 2021, is expected to be completed in late 2025 and will dedicate at least 30% of output to low-income subscribers under New Mexico's Community Solar Act.
Standard Solar, a Brookfield Renewable company, has acquired a 12-megawatt community solar project portfolio in Virginia from New Leaf Energy, comprising one project in Chatham and two in Kilmarnock. The projects — including over 7 MW allocated to low- and moderate-income customers in Kilmarnock — are expected to generate about 19,811 MWh annually and mark Standard Solar's entry into Virginia's community solar market.
