N3, LLC has acquired certain assets, customer contracts and intellectual property of Rainmaker Systems, Inc.'s Global Commerce Services business. The asset purchase is intended to strengthen N3's marketing and revenue-generation capabilities for software and high-tech clients by adding Rainmaker's cloud-based e-commerce technology and related customer relationships.

DCIM Solutions, LLC — a newly formed partnership between NER Data Corporation and Performance Tuning Corporation (PTC) — has acquired NER's Data Center Solutions Division. The carve-out will operate independently out of Glassboro, New Jersey and was structured to provide working capital to support continued solution development, expanded service support, and sales efforts.

AFCO C&S, LLC (a portfolio company of Larsen MacColl Partners) sold its wholly owned subsidiaries Mossberg Sanitation, Inc. and Midwest Sanitation Co., Inc. to a strategic acquirer on May 12, 2014. Terms were not disclosed; AFCO said it realized proceeds in excess of three times its invested capital.

Vology, a North American technology solutions provider, has acquired the Irvine, California-based state, local and education (SLED) division of Govplace. The deal expands Vology's presence and capabilities in the California public-sector market as part of its multi-year growth strategy.

First Tek has acquired the assets of Emtec's staffing business unit and assumed responsibility for its ongoing operations. The deal expands First Tek's IT staffing capabilities and was facilitated by the Global IT M&A Forum; Emtec sold the division to focus on its core business.

Kestrel Capital Group, an independent sponsor based in Chicago, has acquired Koontz-Wagner Services, a South Bend, Indiana-based industrial equipment repair and electrical services provider. The sale is the final divestiture of operating units controlled by Koontz-Wagner Holdings as High Street Capital winds down its third fund.
