Agriculture Acquisitions in Nebraska

NativeSeed Group, the seed and erosion-control platform backed by Heartwood Partners, has acquired Arrow Seed, a fourth-generation family-owned seed conditioner and supplier based in Broken Bow, Nebraska. The add-on expands NativeSeed's Midwestern footprint and broadens its product portfolio with additional warm-season and conservation seed varieties.

Greater Omaha Packing Inc. has acquired Nebraska-based Heartland Proteins, a supplier and blender of meat-and-bone meal for the animal feed industry. The deal brings Heartland's blending capabilities and customer relationships into Greater Omaha's existing rendering and protein supply operations and will be supported by the continued involvement of founder Keith Fulton.

Agrality, an Argentina-based seed industry services company, has acquired Nebraska Irrigated Seeds, a Fremont, Nebraska seed production and processing business. The purchase adds four sites, ~400,000 sq ft of warehousing/processing capacity and access to thousands of acres of seed production, accelerating Agrality's expansion into the U.S. Midwest seed market.

Lindsay Corporation has acquired FieldWise, LLC, a Norfolk, Nebraska–headquartered provider of subscription-based precision irrigation and remote monitoring solutions. FieldWise will continue to operate independently while the acquisition strengthens Lindsay's smart irrigation and AgTech capabilities and expands its distribution and customer reach globally.

Viterra Limited has closed its purchase of the grain and ingredients business of Gavilon Agriculture Investment, Inc. from Marubeni America Corporation for US$1.125 billion plus working capital and customary adjustments. The acquisition adds Gavilon's origination, storage and distribution footprint across major U.S. growing regions to Viterra's global agriculture network and will be integrated under the Viterra brand.

Market Maker Agriculture has made a majority investment in Dehy Alfalfa Mills, an Arlington, Nebraska-based supplier of dehydrated alfalfa and forage ingredients to the pet and animal nutrition sectors. J.P. Rhea will remain president with the existing management team, and Kirchner Group acted as M&A advisor to the selling Rhea family.
