AI & Machine Learning Acquisitions in Indiana

Capacity, the AI-powered support automation platform, has acquired KLaunch, a conversational AI company based in Indianapolis. The acquisition deepens Capacity’s conversational AI capabilities and expands its reach in government, healthcare and nonprofit markets; terms were not disclosed.

Greenlight Guru, a MedTech quality management software provider, acquired Vertex Intelligence, a Zionsville-based AI/ML and data science consultancy, to bring artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities in-house. The deal integrates Vertex’s team and patents into Greenlight Guru’s product development to accelerate smart quality, recommendation engines and proactive decision support for medical device companies.

Micron Technology acquired FWDNXT, a Purdue-affiliated AI hardware and software startup, to integrate its inference engine into Micron’s Deep Learning Accelerator (DLA) and create a comprehensive AI development platform. The acquisition brings together FWDNXT’s edge AI hardware/software capabilities with Micron’s memory expertise to accelerate development of memory-optimized AI workloads for IoT, edge computing, healthcare imaging and scientific research.
