Building Products Acquisitions in New Hampshire

Switchback Capital LLC, an Austin-based private equity firm, has acquired Carlisle Wide Plank Floors, a Stoddard, New Hampshire-based luxury wide plank flooring company. The transaction will support Carlisle's next phase of growth as the company continues its online-first direct-to-consumer and direct-to-pro strategy; terms were not disclosed.

Specialty Products and Insulation (SPI), a portfolio company of Incline Equity Partners, acquired Spray Foam Distributors of New England, Inc. and Spray Foam Distributors of Boston, LLC. The add-on acquisition closed on December 30, 2022 and expands SPI's distribution footprint and insulation product/service capabilities in the Northeastern United States.

Unified Door & Hardware Group, a portfolio company of Dunes Point Capital, has acquired Eaton Door and Frame, a value-add distributor of doors, frames and hardware based in Salem, New Hampshire. The acquisition is an add-on to Unified's platform to expand its distribution footprint and product capabilities in commercial, education, healthcare and other end markets.

Outdoor Living Supply (OLS), a hardscape-focused distribution platform backed by Trilantic North America, has acquired LandCare Associates, Inc., an independent distributor of natural stone, hardscapes and landscape supplies based in Madbury, New Hampshire. The deal expands OLS' footprint in northern New England and will keep Daniel Gordon in place to continue leading LandCare.

Hammond Lumber Company, a family-owned building materials retailer based in Belgrade, Maine, has acquired Brock's Building Materials, a third-generation, family-owned dealer in Rochester, New Hampshire. The acquisition expands Hammond into New Hampshire, adds Brock's employees to Hammond's workforce, and will operate the Rochester location as part of Hammond's existing branch network.

Hertz Furniture, a national school furniture provider headquartered in New Jersey, has acquired School Furnishings of Hudson, New Hampshire. The acquisition expands Hertz Furniture’s footprint in the New England market and preserves the target’s employees and management while supporting Hertz’s growth strategy.

Outdoor Living Supply (OLS), a Trilantic-backed distribution platform for outdoor living and hardscape products, has acquired Landscapers Depot, a regional wholesale and retail supplier of landscape, hardscape and masonry materials serving southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts. The acquisition expands OLS's footprint into New England, strengthens sales and distribution capabilities for Landscapers Depot, and provides growth opportunities for the target's employees and customers; owners Tom and Kellie Greer partnered with OLS in the transaction.

Munch's Supply, a Ridgemont-backed Midwest HVAC distributor headquartered in New Lenox, Illinois, has acquired API of NH and Delta T, adding eight branches across New England and expanding Munch's footprint to 42 locations in 16 states. The deal brings API's Manchester, New Hampshire-based operations and employees into Munch's family of brands; the Engel family will continue to lead the business alongside Munch's management as part of a geographic expansion strategy.
