The acquisition adds roughly 25 employees and expands SGS’s Impact Now for sustainability platform and GHG service capabilities in North America and globally.

SGS Acquires Murray-Brown Laboratories

Swiss testing, inspection and certification provider SGS has acquired Murray-Brown Laboratories, a Denver-based food, pet food and nutraceutical testing laboratory. The deal expands SGS's microbial and analytical chemistry testing capabilities in North America and strengthens its footprint for nutraceutical testing, including kratom, kava and hemp analysis.

Pace Analytical Services Acquires Alpha Analytical, LLC

Pace Analytical Services, a division of Pace and a PE-backed national laboratory network, has acquired Alpha Analytical, LLC, a full-service environmental laboratory based in Westborough, Massachusetts. The deal expands Pace's geographic footprint and laboratory capabilities in the Northeast, adding multiple labs and service centers and strengthening testing services for emerging contaminants such as PFAS.

Calibre Scientific Acquires AlphaScience GmbH

Calibre Scientific has acquired AlphaScience GmbH, a German diagnostics consumables and equipment provider, and will integrate the business into its subsidiary BIOZOL Diagnostica GmbH to expand product offerings and customer reach in the DACH region. AlphaScience supplies consumables and equipment to commercial, clinical, academic, research and hospital laboratories across a wide range of diagnostic applications, and the transaction is intended to enhance BIOZOL's position in the German research and diagnostics market.

SGS SA Acquires Applied Technical Services from Odyssey Investment Partners

Swiss testing, inspection and certification firm SGS SA completed the acquisition of Applied Technical Services, LLC from Odyssey Investment Partners, LLC and other selling shareholders. The transaction, announced July 1, 2025 and completed January 13, 2026, is valued at roughly $1.32 billion and was financed via cash, debt and a small equity consideration to certain sellers and key employees.

Alliant Insurance Services Acquires BSG Analytics

Alliant Insurance Services has acquired BSG Analytics (BSGA), a Pewaukee, Wisconsin-based healthcare data analytics firm, and will integrate the team into its Employee Benefits Group. The deal expands Alliant's healthcare data and analytics capabilities to support clients, brokers, providers and carriers; terms were not disclosed.
