Capital Partners (via its Private Equity Income Fund III) completed a control investment in MicroCare, LLC on May 28, 2020, partnering with the company's co-founder and senior management. MicroCare, headquartered in New Britain, Connecticut, manufactures industrial cleaning fluids, coatings, packaging and dispensing solutions for electronics, fiber optics and medical device markets; the investment will support balance-sheet strengthening, manufacturing capability expansion and acquisition-driven growth.

Blue Sea Capital Acquires MicroCare

Blue Sea Capital has acquired MicroCare Holdings, LLC, a New Britain, Connecticut-based maker of precision cleaning consumables for healthcare, aerospace & defense, data centers, electronics and other critical markets. Terms were not disclosed; the transaction represents an exit by Heartwood Partners (Fund III) and positions MicroCare for accelerated product development, organic growth and complementary add-on acquisitions under Blue Sea's ownership.

Vernacare, a portfolio company of H.I.G. Capital, has acquired the Infection Prevention business carved out from Frontier Medical Group, including the Sharpsafe, Clinisafe and eXchange brands. The acquired business, which operates from a site in Blackwood, Wales, will be integrated with Vernacare to strengthen its infection prevention product offering across the UK and Europe; terms were not disclosed.

KICTeam (Inverness Graham) Acquires Teknipure

KICTeam, a proprietary cleaning-consumables platform owned by private investment firm Inverness Graham, has acquired Teknipure, a Mesa, Arizona-based developer and manufacturer of cleanroom contamination-control consumables. The add-on expands KICTeam's addressable markets into biopharmaceuticals, medical devices and advanced manufacturing, and will allow investment in U.S.-based capacity to support increased demand; terms were not disclosed.
