I Squared Capital formed a new digital infrastructure platform, Ezee Fiber, through its ISQ Global Infrastructure Fund III and announced the platform’s inaugural acquisition of ICTX WaveMedia, a 2,000-kilometer carrier-grade fiber connectivity provider serving the Houston metro area. Ezee Fiber—led by CEO Scott Widham—will leverage ICTX WaveMedia’s existing fiber to expand residential, enterprise, government and education broadband services across underserved Texas markets.

MetroNet Acquires Vexus Fiber

NextEdge (Bow River Capital) Acquires Tachyon and Spectrum Services to Expand NextEdge Platform

NextEdge, a Bow River Capital-backed telecommunications services platform, acquired SBS Services Holdings, LLC (doing business as Tachyon) from MSouth Equity Partners and completed the acquisition of Spectrum Services, LLC. The combined transactions create a coast-to-coast turnkey wireless and wireline infrastructure services provider—bolstering NextEdge’s small cell, macro site and fiber construction capabilities and growing the combined workforce to 500+ to support 5G and fiber buildouts.

IQ Fiber Acquires ThinkBig Networks

IQ Fiber, a Jacksonville-based 100% fiber-optic internet provider, has completed the acquisition of Maryland-based ThinkBig Networks, expanding IQ Fiber's footprint into Charles, Kent, Queen Anne's and Harford counties. The deal is supported by additional equity funding from SDC Capital Partners and will see ThinkBig leadership integrated into IQ Fiber as the business is rebranded in 2025 to accelerate network expansion in the Chesapeake region.

Proximus Acquires EQT's Stake in Fiberklaar

Proximus has agreed to acquire EQT Infrastructure V’s majority stake in Fiberklaar for EUR 246 million, making Proximus the sole shareholder. Fiberklaar, headquartered in Ghent, is Flanders’ leading independent fiber-to-the-home provider and the transaction is intended to increase rollout efficiency and capture synergies to accelerate fiber deployment across Flanders.
