Harbor Health Acquires 32 VillageMD Clinics Across Texas

Harbor Health, an Austin-based primary and specialty care clinic group and insurance company, is acquiring 32 clinics from VillageMD, expanding its Texas footprint into San Antonio, El Paso and Dallas. The deal increases Harbor Health’s clinic count from 11 to 43, adds more than 80 clinicians, and supports expansion of its integrated care-and-insurance offerings across the state.

VillageMD Acquires Starling Physicians

The deal closed on March 1, 2023; terms were not disclosed.

Oceans Healthcare Acquires Haven Behavioral Healthcare

Oceans Healthcare has acquired all outstanding shares of Haven Behavioral Healthcare, a Nashville-based provider of inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services. The deal adds seven behavioral health hospitals and outpatient services across five states, expanding Oceans' network to 48 facilities across nine states and increasing its ability to provide access to care in new communities.

CityMD Acquires Urgent Care Now (Ocean County, NJ)

CityMD acquired three Urgent Care Now locations (Toms River, Manahawkin and Lanoka Harbor), marking its entry into Ocean County, New Jersey and expanding its state footprint to 19 sites. Approximately 28 healthcare providers from Urgent Care Now will join CityMD, and founder Dr. John Kulin will transition his role into CityMD's clinical leadership following the deal.

VillageMD Acquires Primary Care Medical Associates in Chicago

Halsted Street in Chicago. The transaction brings Dr. Perlmuter and his six-provider team into Village Medical as VillageMD expands its value-based primary care footprint into the Chicago market.

Oceans Healthcare Acquires Merit Health Gulf Oaks Behavioral Health Operations

Oceans Healthcare has acquired the behavioral health operations of Merit Health Biloxi, including the 45-bed Gulf Oaks behavioral health hospital, an outpatient clinic and a therapeutic day school. The facility will be renamed Oceans Behavioral Hospital Biloxi, marking Oceans Healthcare's first expansion into Mississippi.
