New Directions Aromatics, a TruArc Partners portfolio company, has combined with Aromatic Fragrances International to create an e-commerce-enabled specialty ingredients and fragrance platform. AromataGroup / Ambienta Acquire MML Capital's Stake in Nactis Flavours

AromataGroup, backed by private equity firm Ambienta SGR, acquired MML Capital’s 30% stake in French flavour manufacturer Nactis Flavours as part of a transaction that creates the enlarged holding Nactarome. The deal consolidates European flavour and ingredient capabilities and supports continued international growth for Nactis (which now generates ~40% of revenue outside France).

NovaTaste Acquires McClancy Foods & Flavors

McCormick & Company Acquires FONA International

McCormick & Company, Inc. agreed to acquire 100% of FONA International, LLC for $710 million in cash. FONA is a privately held manufacturer of clean and natural flavors headquartered in Illinois with approximately $114 million in annual sales and ~220 employees; McCormick said the deal expands its flavor solutions portfolio, technology capabilities and clean/natural offerings and is expected to be accretive to gross margin.

Tilley Company (SK Capital) Acquires Phoenix Aromas & Essential Oils

Baltimore-based Tilley Company, a portfolio company of SK Capital Partners, has completed a merger with Phoenix Aromas & Essential Oils, creating the combined Tilley‑Phoenix Group. The transaction — an add-on to Tilley's platform — was announced December 2021 and was reported as an exit for Caymus Equity Partners, expanding Tilley's product portfolio, technical/regulatory capabilities and global distribution in flavor & fragrance and other regulated markets.
