Cisco Acquires BroadSoft for $1.9B

Cisco agreed to acquire BroadSoft, a provider of cloud PBX, unified communications, team collaboration and contact center software, for $1.9 billion (paying $55 per share). The deal strengthens Cisco's software- and cloud-focused collaboration portfolio and brings BroadSoft's large service-provider customer base and cloud voice/contact-center capabilities into Cisco's applications group.

BCM One (TSCP Platform) Acquires Pure IP

BCM One, a portfolio company of Thompson Street Capital Partners (TSCP), has acquired Pure IP, a London-based global provider of cloud voice services for Microsoft Teams, Cisco, Webex and Zoom. The add-on expands BCM One’s NextGen Communications portfolio and extends its international footprint with Pure IP offices in London, Auckland and San Francisco; terms were not disclosed.

Cisco Acquires Accedian from Bridge Growth Partners

Financial terms were not disclosed; Accedian will be integrated into Cisco’s networking and assurance portfolio to strengthen its service assurance and edge/5G capabilities.

Palabra AI Acquires Talo

Palabra AI has acquired Talo and will integrate Talo’s team and interface technology to launch a suite of five real-time multilingual communication products for video calls, webinars, streams, events, and developer APIs. The acquisition expands Palabra’s offering from infrastructure into consumer- and user-facing products while preserving the Talo brand temporarily during the transition.

Harness Acquires Propelo

Harness has acquired Propelo, an engineering productivity and insights platform, and integrated it as the new Harness Software Engineering Insights module to expand observability across the software delivery lifecycle. The acquisition brings Propelo's tooling and customer base (including Broadcom, CDK Global and others) into Harness's end-to-end software delivery platform to help enterprises measure and optimize developer productivity and SDLC bottlenecks.
