AVALT, a Boston-based private equity-focused family office, and VantEdge, a Kansas City-based family office investment firm, have acquired Suburban Intermediate Holdco, Inc., a Waukesha, Wisconsin provider of drywall, insulation, steel framing and custom finish installation services. The sponsors invested alongside members of Suburban's management and plan to pursue an acquisition-driven strategy to expand the platform's geographic footprint beyond Wisconsin; terms were not disclosed. High Street Capital sold the company.

The Macomb Group Acquires Woodhill Supply

The Macomb Group Inc., a Michigan-based PVF and plumbing supplies distributor, has acquired the operations and real estate of Woodhill Supply Inc., a Willoughby, Ohio-based plumbing/HVAC supply distributor with a second branch in Cleveland. The deal expands Macomb Group’s footprint in Northeast Ohio and adds a large distribution hub (about 300,000 sq. ft.) to improve service and product capabilities for local contractor and industrial customers.

PCM Companies Invests in Suburban Manufacturing Group

PCM Companies has made a majority investment in Suburban Manufacturing Group, a Monticello, Minnesota-based maker of fluid-power components and accessories; Suburban's owners (Mary and Brad Barger) are retaining a minority stake. The transaction creates a new platform for PCM in niche manufacturing; financing was provided by Tradition Capital Bank and Aethlon Capital advised the sellers.
