MidEuropa Acquires Controlling Stake in FAMAR

MidEuropa has acquired a controlling stake in FAMAR, a European contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO), from ECM Partners and Metric Capital Partners, with current shareholders and management reinvesting alongside MidEuropa. FAMAR employs around 1,900 people across six manufacturing sites and two R&D centres in southern Europe and will use MidEuropa's backing to support further growth and capability expansion in pharmaceutical manufacturing and R&D.

PerkinElmer Acquires Project Farma from Precision for Medicine

Transatlantic healthcare-focused private equity firm ARCHIMED, through its MED Platform I (MPI) fund, has acquired a majority stake in Madrid-based SUANFARMA, a manufacturer and distributor of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and nutraceutical ingredients. Ares Management provided debt financing for the transaction; SUANFARMA founder Héctor Ara and members of management rolled a material minority stake into the business and remain significant shareholders.

Bormioli Pharma Acquires ISO Arzneiverpackungen GmbH

Bormioli Pharma, a Triton Fund IV portfolio company, has acquired ISO Arzneiverpackungen GmbH, a German manufacturer of tubular glass vials for injectable drugs, vaccines and chromatography applications. The deal — executed through Bormioli Pharma's German subsidiary Remy & Geiser — increases packaging production capacity (ISO produces over 100 million vials annually and employs over 100 people) and strengthens Bormioli Pharma's presence in the Northern European market.

Fagron Acquires Purifarma in Brazil
