Jim Estill Acquires Arctic Snowplows

Canadian entrepreneur Jim Estill, owner of Danby Appliances, has purchased Arctic Snowplows, a 55-year-old Canadian manufacturer of plows, plow partners and spreaders. Arctic will remain a standalone company within the Estill corporate structure, retain its brand, management and Ontario and Quebec locations, and incoming president Mike Schulz will oversee day-to-day operations.

The Toro Company Acquires Intimidator Group (Spartan Mowers)

The Toro Company has acquired privately held Intimidator Group, the Arkansas-based maker of Spartan Mowers and Intimidator UTVs, for $400 million. The acquisition expands Toro's position in the zero-turn mower market, adds a complementary product lineup sold through an established dealer network, and will maintain manufacturing operations in Batesville, Arkansas.

TransDigm Acquires DART Aerospace for Approximately $360M

TransDigm Group Incorporated agreed to acquire DART Aerospace, a Montreal-based manufacturer of helicopter mission equipment, from Greenbriar Equity Group and First Aviation Services for approximately $360 million in cash. DART, which generates roughly $100 million in pro forma 2022 revenue and employs about 400 people across facilities in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, was acquired to expand TransDigm's proprietary product and aftermarket capabilities; the deal is expected to close in Q2 2022 subject to customary approvals.

Argo Translation Acquires Global Accent Translation Services

Brandt Tractor Ltd. Acquires Cervus Equipment Corporation

Regina-based Brandt Tractor Ltd. completed the acquisition of Calgary-based Cervus Equipment Corporation via a court-approved plan of arrangement on October 22, 2021. The purchaser (13255026 Canada Ltd.), a wholly owned Brandt subsidiary, acquired all outstanding Cervus shares for CAD 19.50 per share (approximately CAD 302 million aggregate), adding Cervus' 64 dealerships and equipment-distribution capabilities across Canada, Australia and New Zealand to Brandt's network.
