The Toro Company has agreed to acquire Venture Products, Inc., the manufacturer of Ventrac-branded turf, landscape and snow-management equipment, for $167.5 million in cash. The deal, expected to close before the end of Toro's fiscal 2020 second quarter, expands Toro's professional product offering and is expected to be financed under Toro's existing revolving credit facility; Ventrac reported approximately $100 million in net sales for calendar year 2019.

Alta Equipment Group Acquires Burris Equipment Co.

Alta Equipment Group has agreed to acquire Burris Equipment Co., a three-location construction and turf equipment dealer and rental business based in Waukegan, Illinois, for $14.0 million in cash. The deal — expected to close in Q4 2023 — expands Alta's presence in the Chicago market, adds rental fleet capacity and OEM relationships, and preserves Burris's brand while the selling owners retire.

Mullen Group Acquires Bandstra Group of Companies

Mullen Group Ltd. (TSX: MTL) acquired the Bandstra Group of Companies, including Bandstra Transportation Systems Ltd. and Babine Truck & Equipment Ltd., in a transaction that closed April 16, 2021. The acquisition expands Mullen's presence and service capabilities in western Canada, adding Bandstra's fleet, terminals and OEM dealership operations primarily across northern British Columbia.

Linamar Corporation Acquires Bourgault Industries Ltd.

Linamar Corporation has completed the acquisition of 100% of the equity interests of Bourgault Industries Ltd., including its seeder operations in St. Brieux, Saskatchewan and the Highline Manufacturing and Free Form Plastics divisions. Bourgault will be integrated into Linamar's new Agriculture division alongside MacDon and Salford, expanding Linamar's industrial product portfolio and capabilities in broad-acre seeding.

Southland Industries Acquires The Brandt Companies

Southland Industries has acquired The Brandt Companies, the largest mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) contractor in Texas, headquartered in Dallas with offices across the state. The deal expands Southland's geographic footprint and capabilities nationwide, creating a combined team of over 5,000 employees across 35 states to deliver full-lifecycle design-build, engineering, fabrication, installation, and post-construction services.

Aurora Cannabis Acquires Controlling Interest in Bevo Farms

Aurora Cannabis acquired a 50.1% controlling stake in Bevo Agtech Inc., the parent of Bevo Farms Ltd., and will consolidate Bevo's operations. The deal (approx. $45M cash on closing plus contingent payments) gives Aurora access to Bevo's plant propagation expertise, while Bevo will acquire Aurora's Aurora Sky facility in Edmonton to expand production and geographic reach.
