Esdec Acquires IronRidge and Quick Mount PV

Esdec, a Netherlands-based rooftop solar mounting solutions provider, has acquired U.S. solar racking manufacturers IronRidge (Hayward, California) and Quick Mount PV (Phoenix, Arizona). The deal combines these brands with Esdec's existing U.S. business (EcoFasten) to form the largest U.S. solar mounting systems group, with combined annual revenues of more than $250 million; terms were not disclosed.

Blackstone and Rivean Capital Complete Investment in Esdec Solar Group

Blackstone (through Blackstone Energy Partners and Blackstone private equity) and Rivean Capital have completed a strategic investment in Esdec Solar Group B.V., the Deventer-headquartered global leader in rooftop solar mounting systems. The transaction sees Rivean partly realise its original investment while re-investing via a continuation fund; the backing is intended to accelerate Esdec's international growth and consolidation in rooftop solar.

Enphase Energy Acquires ClipperCreek

Enphase Energy has agreed to acquire ClipperCreek, an Auburn, California–based manufacturer of residential and commercial EV charging stations. The acquisition extends Enphase's home electrification capabilities by adding EV charging hardware and brand recognition, enabling integration with Enphase's EnsembleOS and future bi-directional charging plans; the deal was expected to close by December 31, 2021.

Enphase Energy Acquires SolarLeadFactory LLC

Enstall Acquires Schletter to Expand into Germany and Ground-Mount Solar

Enstall, a PE-backed global rooftop solar mounting provider, agreed to acquire Schletter Group, a Germany-based manufacturer of solar mounting systems. The deal — an add-on to Enstall’s PE-backed platform (Blackstone and Rivean Capital) — expands Enstall’s footprint in Germany and Central Europe and adds ground-mounted and tracker capabilities to its product portfolio; Schletter’s current owners Avenue Capital Group and Robus Capital will become minority shareholders in Enstall.

Lynx Equity Limited Acquires Esmay Electric

Toronto-based private equity firm Lynx Equity Limited has acquired Esmay Electric, a Lake Havasu City, Arizona electrical contractor specializing in solar panel installations, design and permitting. The founder, Greg Esmay, sold the business as part of his retirement, and Lynx intends to maintain existing customer and employee relationships while supporting the company’s leadership and continued operations in the solar sector.
