Babcock Power Inc., through its Babcock Power Renewables LLC subsidiary, acquired substantially all of the assets of Renewable Concepts Inc. and affiliate R. Tinsley Projects Inc. The acquisition adds wind-turbine maintenance, engineering and repair capabilities to Babcock's clean-energy services portfolio; terms were not disclosed.

TransAlta Corporation has entered into a definitive arrangement agreement to acquire all outstanding common shares of TransAlta Renewables Inc. not already owned by TransAlta, offering RNW shareholders either TransAlta shares or $13.00 in cash (subject to proration). The deal is intended to simplify corporate structure, align a single clean‑electricity growth strategy and create a larger, more diversified independent power producer; closing is subject to shareholder, court and regulatory approvals.

Conestoga Energy has acquired SAFFiRE Renewables, LLC from Southwest Airlines Renewable Ventures LLC, obtaining SAFFiRE’s IP, certain technologies, a proposed pilot production facility, and key technical staff. The acquisition gives Conestoga access to SAFFiRE’s DMR pretreatment technology to produce ultra-low carbon intensity ethanol for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and supports plans for a co-located pilot in Liberal, Kansas and future commercial-scale production.
