The Sanborn Map Company has acquired Applied Geographics, Inc. (AppGeo), combining Sanborn's mapping, imagery and lidar capabilities with AppGeo's GIS, location-intelligence and application development services. AppGeo will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary under the AppGeo brand to expand Sanborn's geospatial solutions for government and commercial clients; terms were not disclosed.
