International Designs (Mill Point) Acquires Construction Resources

International Designs Group LLC (IDG), a portfolio company of Mill Point Capital, has acquired Construction Resources Holdings LLC, a leading distributor of design-oriented surfaces, specialty architectural products and appliances in the Southeastern United States. The deal adds CR's ~30-location showroom, distribution and fabrication network based in the Atlanta area to the IDG platform to expand geographic coverage and broaden the platform's product offerings.

Sun Capital Affiliate Acquires Select Interior Concepts (renamed Architectural Surfaces Group)

An affiliate of Sun Capital Partners has completed the acquisition of Select Interior Concepts and the business has been renamed Architectural Surfaces Group (ASG). ASG, headquartered in Austin, Texas, is a national importer and distributor of natural stone, engineered stone and tile with 22 distribution centers and 20 showrooms; Sun Capital intends to support growth, digitization and consolidation initiatives.

TA Associates to Acquire Surfaces Group from Astorg

TA Associates has signed a binding agreement to acquire Surfaces Group, the Italy-headquartered global supplier of abrasive tools and consumables, from private equity firm Astorg. Surfaces Group, based in Cenate Sotto, Italy, generates over €100 million in sales, employs more than 500 people across 13 production plants and multiple international subsidiaries, and the deal is expected to close in Q4 2020 subject to customary conditions.

Lynx Equity Acquires Creative Surfaces, Inc.

Toronto-based private equity firm Lynx Equity Limited has acquired Creative Surfaces, Inc., a Sioux Falls, South Dakota manufacturer, distributor and installer of commercial casework, countertops, cabinetry and signage. Founder and CEO Jud Pins (former owner) sold the business and will remain in management; terms were not disclosed. Creative Surfaces has approximately 123 employees and $40 million in annual sales, and Lynx intends to leverage its existing sister companies to provide operational support and pursue synergies, including entry into the gaming market.
