ACON Investments led a recapitalization and acquisition of Bargain Holdings, L.L.C. (doing business as Bargain Hunt). The transaction (terms undisclosed) will strengthen Bargain Hunt's balance sheet and support the company's growth plan, including investments in merchandise, technology and other operational initiatives; Bargain Hunt operates 90 stores and is headquartered in La Vergne, Tennessee.

2A Group Acquires CheaperThanDirt.com

2A Group, LLC has acquired the CheaperThanDirt.com brand and its ammunition and shooting-accessory inventory. The acquisition (made through subsidiaries) will be integrated with 2A Group’s existing ecommerce operations (including LuckyGunner.com); firearms inventory and the firearms division were not purchased and will not be offered on the site.

TA Associates Acquires Auction Technology Group and Proxibid

TA Associates acquired Auction Technology Group (ATG) from ECI Partners and Proxibid from Primus Capital, closing both transactions on February 13, 2020. The two online auction marketplaces will be combined under the ATG umbrella (headquartered in London) while retaining substantial operations in Omaha, Nebraska, with ECI reinvesting as a minority shareholder; financial terms were not disclosed.
