Hologic Acquires Acessa Health for Approximately $80M

Hologic, Inc. has acquired Acessa Health Inc., a privately held maker of the Acessa ProVu minimally invasive system for treating uterine fibroids, for approximately $80 million in cash plus contingent payments. The tuck-in purchase expands Hologic's GYN surgical portfolio and leverages Hologic's commercial infrastructure to accelerate adoption of Acessa's technology.
