Caymus Equity Partners’ portfolio company Medical Laboratory Diagnostics, LLC (MedLabs) acquired Mercy Diagnostics, Inc., a Mount Laurel, New Jersey clinical diagnostics laboratory. The add-on transaction closed on April 24, 2019 and is MedLabs’ first strategic acquisition since the company’s majority recapitalization in March 2018.

LABORIE Medical Technologies Acquires Clinical Innovations for $525M

LABORIE Medical Technologies, a Patricia Industries portfolio company, has completed the acquisition of Clinical Innovations from funds managed by EQT for an enterprise value of $525 million. Clinical Innovations, headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, is a leading provider of single-use medical devices for labor & delivery and neonatal intensive care and will form a stand-alone Maternal and Child Health global business unit within LABORIE.

TEAM Technologies Acquires Baril Corporation

TEAM Technologies, a Clearlake-backed North American healthcare specialty manufacturer, acquired Baril Corporation, a Haverhill, Massachusetts-based contract manufacturer of disposable single-use medical products. The add-on expands TEAM's capabilities in die-cutting, laminating, device assembly and infection prevention/wound care manufacturing; financial terms were not disclosed and financing was provided by credit funds managed by affiliates of Ares Management with co-lender Northwest Mutual Capital.

Medline Industries, LP Acquires United Medco

StatLab Medical Products, a McKinney, Texas-based manufacturer of medical diagnostic supplies, has acquired Scientific Device Laboratory (SDL), a Chicago-area maker of printed diagnostic slides and consumables for anatomic pathology and microbiology. The acquisition expands StatLab's microbiology capabilities, adds a U.S. R&D/manufacturing hub, and creates a dual-continent footprint for glass-slide manufacturing to better serve hospital, OEM and research customers.
