Laborie Medical Technologies Acquires Urotronic

Laborie Medical Technologies has completed the acquisition of Urotronic, a Plymouth, Minnesota-based developer of the Optilume drug‑coated balloon technology for interventional urology. The deal includes an upfront cash payment (net $232 million to Laborie considering its prior minority stake) and up to $345 million in milestone payments, and brings Urotronic and its employees fully into Laborie to expand Laborie's interventional urology product portfolio globally.

Pelvalon’s Eclipse System is an FDA-cleared, non-surgical, patient-controlled device for women with fecal incontinence; the acquisition expands Laborie’s portfolio in pelvic floor and women’s health therapies.

Laborie Acquires the JADA® System from Organon

The deal — part of Organon’s divestiture program (previously disclosed as up to $465 million) — brings more than 90 employees and an FDA-cleared device for rapid control of postpartum hemorrhage into Laborie’s obstetrics portfolio to expand the company’s maternal health capabilities.
