Interstate Waste Services Acquires Marangi Disposal

Interstate Waste Services (IWS), a PE-backed, vertically integrated waste collection and recycling operator, has acquired Marangi Disposal (Donato Marangi, Inc. and Cottage Carting, Inc.), a family-owned hauler based in Middletown, New York. The deal adds more than 50 collection vehicles and about 40 routes, nearly doubling IWS’ presence in upstate New York; Marangi CEO Mike Marangi will remain with the business post-closing.
